Soren has over 30 years of experience helping leaders, teams and change agents implement sustainable lean systems and successful strategy and innovation processes. Alongside coaching, he builds practical visualisation and automatic analysis to enable teams to rapidly move from data to decision making and problem solving. He is certified under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), coached by Gareth Lewis (Group Leader, Toyota UK; Founder Project7 Consultancy), collaborating with Project7 Consultancy (Director James Purse) and trained by Art Smalley (Toyota Japan / Lean Enterprise Institute), Michael Ballé (LEI, France) and Dave Brunt (right hand to Dan Jones, Lean Enterprise Academy). Soren has designed and coached company turnaround programs, continuous improvement initiatives, performance management cascaded at all levels, preventive maintenance, certified lean and project management training, strategy processes and personal development in renowned companies across the globe.
As head of Centre for Productivity at the Danish Technological Institute, Soren led a team of coaches, delivering on-site lean programmes in Scandinavia and the most extensive open lean training portfolio in Denmark. He later managed teams of competitive manufacturing coaches servicing companies in Queensland, Australia and New Zealand – establishing TAKT Australia with Peter Ellis to grow a team focusing on certifying participants while improving safety, quality, delivery, costs and people for the customer organisation. Returning to Europe, he set up Lean & Strategy, first based in Denmark and then Portugal, serving globally.
Soren is a native speaker of Danish and English, fluent in German, and he also collaborates in French, Swedish and Portuguese. He has lived and worked across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, England, Rep. of Ireland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Portugal.
